About the event

Accepting applications on a first come/first served basis until capacity reached at each site. In-person training takes place over 2 1/2 days and certification at each site is limited. 

  • The 30-hour IVAT Specialty Certification program consists of 20 hours of in-person training (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) and 10 hours of online webinars.   

  • Certification at each site is limited to 50 individuals for all 3 days - 25 legal professionals (family court lawyers, judges, GALs, etc.) and 25 mental health professionals (expert witnesses, child custody evaluators, etc.). 

  • 50 Advocates, students, and others who do not want/need certification are invited to apply for the Friday (only Day-1) or Friday & Saturday (only 2-Day) sessions. 

  • All applicants must submit form with personal statement and CV to be considered. 

  • Accepting applications on a first come/first served basis until capacity reached at each site.
