Budgets are a critical part of a grant application. Budgets detail needed costs to help support the achievement of the goals and objectives outlined in application. The proposed expenditures also demonstrate how grant funds would be used to benefit the applicant and the individuals participating in services in supports. Once an application is awarded, the budget becomes a guide for how grants funds will be expended during the lifecycle of the grant.
